well I have been thinking about it esp one with a form of autopatch although not conected to the phone main but to one end of the "ring down system I have been using to make it easier tfor my dad to contact me in the new house from the trailer something with reseve autopatch would allow me to contact dad from anywhere I can reach the reapeter an adavnatage with Cell service being so spoty round here

I encoutered somewhow this link to a ongoing project of someone to build a 60m tranceiver which remidned that I don't have that abilty It did not realy realy since I could not realy obtain a license for that band anyway

my second thoughts occoured after my thrid rereading of the site. namely why do I need a Tranciever at all? why not use the ft *47 to receive and a sepertate unit/antena to tranmit thus keeping me having to contantly deal the specail limits on power/anntena on the 60m band as I play with antennas, and the advantage that digital ft 847 would allow me to check the tranmisster I am planing on derectly

As Noted by now elsewhere one the "problem" iI have in creating a station with ful HF caps is that the Ft-847 i have used for year now on 6m and satelite is older than the ARS' 60 m allocation and I dislike modifng anything clthing radio I tend to prefer toget something new for the task rather alter anything since it goes as I wish it
